YERC is hosting a half-day job readiness workshop on Monday, July 12th (9am-12pm). Completing this work job qualifies you for free certification training as well: WHMIS, or Serving it Right.


Work in a place with lots of cleaning products or chemicals? Want to learn how to correctly identify them? WHMIS is one of the two certifications offered, as part of this job readiness program.

Work in a licensed restaurant? Want to serve alcohol? Serving It Right is one of the two certifications offered, as part of this job readiness program.

Description:
In order to qualify for free Foodsafe certification at YERC, you must first attend a job readiness workshop. This workshop offers fun, interactive skill-building in topics such as marketing yourself, accessing the hidden job market, and designing a winning cover letter and resume. Participants will also be given a workbook to complete at home.

The workshop runs from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm Saturday, September 2nd. There will be two 15 minute breaks and an hour long lunch break. Snacks will be provided.
